FAQ's
1. What are your fees?
General session fees range from $175- $200. I have “Pay What You Can” slots available for those who cannot afford my full fee. I do not take insurance, but I can provide superbills. A superbill is a receipt of services that you submit to your insurance for reimbursement. I value keeping therapy accessible, so please ask me about these options if you could benefit from them.
2. Do you only work with women?
No, working with women and femmes is just one specialty of mine. I work with men, non-binary folks, and people of various gender identities as well. I enjoy connecting with anyone that can benefit from my services.
3. What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapists are only able to provide mental health services in the state in which they are licensed. In order to make my services widely available, I offer mind-body coaching to those outside of CA. If a coaching client has severe mental health needs, is in crisis, or could be better suited by psychotherapy services, I will help provide appropriate referrals in the location where the client lives.
4. What should I expect in sessions?
In sessions, I am warm and empathetic, but I am not just a quiet listener. My aim is to take an active role in your healing, guiding you with reflections and feedback and also encouraging you to give me feedback as well. I want to know what is working, or not working, so that we can partner together to help you find relief!
5. How long does treatment take?
This varies based on each person’s goals for therapy or coaching. During our consultation call, I'm happy to share approaches and mindsets that I’ve seen help build momentum more quickly. Remember, healing timelines vary, and taking longer definitely does NOT mean you've failed. My goal is to support you in maintaining your progress independently, fostering your ongoing well-being beyond our sessions.
6. What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the law, healthcare providers are required to give patients who either do not have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for services. For more information or questions about a Good Faith Estimate, visit https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
